Full-surface bonded laying

In this type of installation, the parquet is glued directly to a suitable substrate. This results in a solid floor structure with quiet walking sound and good heat transfer, for example in a floor heating system.

To be observed

• The substrate shall be tested, dry, level and load-bearing.
• The design requires suitable materials and expertise.
• A later dismantling is more complex.

Floating laying

In the case of floating laying, the elements are connected to one another but not glued to the substrate. A suitable insulating base lies under the floor.

Benefits

• Rapid transfer
• Easier later dismantling
• Suitable for many flat and viable substrates

To be observed

• Adequate edge and movement joints are necessary.
• Larger areas and transitions must be carefully planned.
• The walking sound can be more perceptible than with glued parquet.
